Microlife's Cuff Fit Check technology ensures correct cuff fitting and body posture during measurement
An overly loose fitting cuff may lead to inaccurate blood pressure values. Therefore, an appropriate cuff fit is very important to obtain an accurate blood pressure measurement.
Microlife Cuff Fit Check technology evaluates the signal during cuff inflation of a measurement, to determine if the cuff fit is sufficiently tight or not, and then displays corresponding symbols to indicate the cuff fit status. Please note that Cuff Fit status will be displayed only after the cuff is inflated to pressure above the user's diastolic pressure, because it takes time to check the pulse signal.
Microlife Cuff Fit Check technology indicates the cuff fit status to the user during cuff inflation, so users can interrupt the measurement and adjust the cuff tightness in the case of a sub-optimal cuff fit. Microlife Cuff Fit Check ensures that the blood pressure measurement is conducted reliably with an optimal cuff fit and helps to avoid potential deviations from a loosely fitted cuff.
Moreover, the average of blood pressure values stored in the measurement memory of a blood pressure monitor is computed based only on measurement entries with the Cuff Fit Check status being optimal. Therefore, measurements with sub-optimal Cuff Fit are not used for the computation of the blood pressure average.
Microlife Cuff Fit Check technology is a standard feature on the 4th generation Microlife blood pressure monitors.
